In the early 80's the musical differences between the two co-founders of Status Quo: Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster became to big. Rossi wanted to do more melodic stuff , Lancaster wanted Quo to do way more hard rock kind of music. Besides the musical arguments the members were on all kind of drugs in that period. In the end they couldn't stand each other.

Alan Lancaster has MS now, and is unable to play the bass anymore. A reunion definitely won't happen.
